So help me.

Here I am ready to embark on 3 days of hiking the Routeburn track- used in filming Lord of the Rings!  My pack is super heavy, and I was in the ER with Mags’ chest pains until late last night, so I’m feeling less prepared than I hoped to be. I have barely any food (highly concerning) and snow is in the forecast.  So help me.

Please tell Mags before you leave that she is in our prayers! I'm hoping it was just heartburn. I'm sad that your pack is so heavy but I know much of it is for the group. The Routeburn Track is supposed to be magnificent! Can't wait to hear the details and see the pictures of all the waterfalls! I know that without rain, there are no waterfalls...But hope you don't get too much "precipitation"!

Here here about giving our best wishes to Mags. - As for your tramp - we are jealous. Remember to take gorp or some other food. Hiking without eating is like driving without gasoline. What about second breakfast? We look forward to hearing how things go. What if we got snow going over Arthur's Pass? Ouch.. We will stay tuned.

Do you have fuel to cook some "critters" you may find on the hike? Just say your prayers and do your best.

I was so sorry to hear that Mags is having a problem. Hope it isn't serious, but it is always wise to check it out. How old is she? I didn't think she was in the age group to start the heart problems. We will all pray that it isn't anything bad. Take care on your hike.
